Mount spoils St. Joseph's senior night
Jason Werner tallies career high seven in 16-12 win

It was the last lacrosse game of their careers for the both the Mount Saint Mary's and St. Joseph's seniors.
MSM 16, St. Joseph's 12
The Mount came up on top of the season finale by a career high seven goals and two assists for sophomore Jason Werner. Werner closed the season with the team lead with 27 goals on the season.
The Mount jumped to an early 3-0 lead with goals by Jason Werner, Kyle Daddio scoring his first of his career, and Sam Hogg. Hogg was assisted by Jay Duffy. St. Joe's Andrew Four scored the first Hawk goal with 3:35 remaining in the first period to make the score 3-1.
Pat Beal opened the second quarter scoring a goal to make the score 4-1. Then St. Joe's answered back to score two quick goals by Four and Mike Pagliaro. Duffy and Beal would go on to increase their lead with goals to make the score 6-3. The Hawk's Four would go on to score his third of the game but the Mount would close the half with three more goals two of which were by Werner to give the Mount a 9-4 lead.
The Mount would go on to score four more times, three of which were by Werner to end the third 12-5. The Hawks would rally but it was not enough. Werner went on to close the game with his seventh and final goal of the game to make the score 16-12.
For St. Joe's Andrew Four would end the game with five goals and Mike Pagliaro had four.
For the Mount Jay Duffy, Matt Warner, and Sam Hogg would all score tow goals each. Billy Jautze had a game high four assists. Dan Whitehurst had another good game saving 11.
With the win the Mount ends 5-3 in the MAAC and 5-8 overall. St. Joe's falls to 3-5 in the MAAC and 4-10 overall. The Mount fell a goal short of making the MAAC tournament by losing to Manhattan earlier in the season, 9-8 in quadruple overtime. This season was the first that the Mount did not qualify for the tournament.
